Some really cool sneakers and shoes are now available called U*neaks. They are customizable footwear for kids pre-school through elementary age. They are sneaker style shoes with side clear panel windows that are paired with specially designed socks that allow kids to continuously customize their shoes by simply changing their socks. How fun is that??
There are nine styles of shoes (sizes 8 through 3) and over 29 styles of socks. The footwear concept was developed by company founders Steve Braynock and Jeff Gabriele, company CEO, and included a collaboration with the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan, New York. The shoes range from Velcro versions for preschoolers to cross training, fusion and hip lace-up skater styles for the older set. All shoes are high-quality construction including full grain leathers, breathable mesh, and custom comfort cushioning. Collectible sock prints for customizing include: candy, flowers, rainbows, hearts, safari, dinosaurs, flames, sports, camo, graffiti, checkered flags and more. Each pair of ultra soft seamless socks offers two different prints. They also offer Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa licensed sock styles just in case your child is a Madagascar nut like mine is!
I received the Pearlized Pink Paris Z-Strap shoes (pictured left) for my daughter to try and they are absolutely adorable. They are so cute especially paired with the socks. The socks are really adorable too and go great with the shoes! How clever!

Oh my goodness, these are great! My son would LOVE a pair of the green/black boomerangs in size 1 ande the skull socks. He has a new facination with anything with skulls on it.
