Review & Giveaway: Photofiddle

by holly on November 10, 2008

** This giveaway has ended.  Please check back each Monday for our newest giveaway or click on the word GIVEAWAY in our word cloud on the right hand side of the blog for our current giveaways**

Are you looking for unique gift for someone special this holiday season?  Look no further!  At Photofiddle you can create a one of a kind piece of art from just about any photo you have wether it be a landscape, a picture of your precious children or even a bowl of fruit- whatever suits your taste!
The process is simple and fun.  Just upload a picture then “fiddle” with different design options such as comic book, oil painting, water color and charcoal sketch to name a few (there are well over 50 different options so have fun playing around!)
Colorization and photo restoration are also services provided by Photofiddle.  If you need help you can email your photo to a designer and they will get back to you within 48 hours.  I gave this service a try and was quite pleased with the results.  I emailed several of my favorite photos of my son to a designer and they se
nt them back fiddled into different options.  I requested a few more options and they got back to me right away.  I ended up chosing a charcoal sketched print on stretched canvas that came out beautifully!  The shipping was quick and I was kept updated on the entire process.
Photofiddle art is available in many forms from prints to stretched canvas or framed artwork in a wide variety of sizes and prices to suit your needs.
Check out these before & after examples for inspiration!
To help you with your holiday shopping Photofiddle has generously offered our readers a special 15% off discount that is good through the end of the year! Just enter the code mommie15 in the promo code box on the shopping cart page and click apply.
Feeling Lucky?  We have a $50 Photofiddle gift card up for grabs!  To enter, visit Photofiddle then leave a comment telling us which design style you like.  A winner will be chosen by random number generator and notified by email (so don’t forget to tell us your email address!) The winner will have 48 hours to respond with their mailing address before an alternate is drawn.  For an extra entry, blog about our giveaway then come back and leave the link in the comments.  This contest is open until November 14th, 11:59 pm.
Good Luck!

I like a lot of them, but the impasto style is pretty cool. Which picture would I do? We just moved and want to use some of our own pics, so this is perfect. Thanks for hosting!

I oil paint and I love the oil paint option on here. Oil painting are expensive and to commision out a painting of a family member or such is over most mommies budgets, I would guess. It is nice you can get them made on a canvas and have a quality art piece for your home! :O)

fiddleme@misoman.otherinbox.com November 11, 2008 at 1:54 pm

They’re all great, but Impasto really intrigues me. I’ll have to try it with one of mine!

Wow..it really was hard to pick just one!! But out of my two favs: the impasto and the fantasy styles, I had to go with the impasto. The brush strokes make the simple pics look so detailed and professional. Great gift ideas!
