Review & Giveaway: Henry The Doggie Detective (Book)

** This giveaway has ended. Please be sure to check out our latest giveaways by clicking on the word GIVEAWAY in the label cloud in our right sidebar **

Henry The Doggie Detective is a new series of children's mystery books based on a cute Beagle/Bassett Hound. He solves mysteries for his family and friends in the neighborhood.

A series of 12 books is being developed with 2 books already released: The Missing Cat Mystery and The Christmas Lights Mystery. The third book, Ghost In The House, is in production with an anticipated publication date of Summer 2009.

I obviously had to manage to get the books away from my daughter so that I could even read them and write this review. She loved the illustrations of the books...especially Henry himself! The books are extremely colorful. In The Christmas Lights Mystery, the Christmas decorations are being tampered with. In The Missing Cat Mystery, Henry must solve the case to find where the missing cat, Fergus, went. I love that Henry is a character based on one of the writer's actual dogs.

The books are written for children ages 3-7 and are available in Louisville, Lexington, Midway, Cincinnati, Atlanta and Alexandria, Virginia. (Being the Kentucky girl I am, obviously I love the location.) You can purchase a copy HERE for $15.95.

You can find out more about the books from their site HERE.

Feeling Lucky? Enter to win a copy of The Christmas Lights Mystery. Just leave a comment which includes your email address. You have until 11:59 CST on Sunday, December 14th to enter. A winner will be selected by random number generator, announced on the blog Monday, December 15th, and notified by email. The winner will have 48 hours to respond with their mailing address or an alternate will be drawn.

For an extra entry, blog about this giveaway then leave us a comment with the link.

By the way, being a subscriber does not mean that you receive an entry. You must enter by leaving your email address and/or blogging about the giveaway.
Good Luck!
