My husband and I decided not to exchange gifts this year. I should have known that we couldn’t actually go through with it. We had been seeing commercials for the Xbox Kinect and it looked pretty cool. We got to try it out on Christmas Day (my brother in law got it for Christmas). Then we saw some videos of friends on Fackbook playing Dance Central and we were sold. Yesterday we pooled our gift cards/Christmas cash and what wasn’t covered we considered a gift to each other and bought a Kinect and the Dance Central game. We went home, hooked it up and busted a move while the kids took their naps. Yep, we are still kids at heart!
If you got one too, you might like to know that Amazon has Kinect games on sale Buy One Get One 50% off! Some of them, like Dance Central are already on sale too!
Of course, spending time with our families was the true Christmas gift. We enjoyed the time off, watching our kids play together and visiting with family that we don’t see nearly often enough. Ok, so I have one more favorite gift. A hand knit hat for my daughter Parker that she got from her Grammy. It came with interchangeable flowers the cutest matching little knit booties. She got it on Etsy but I don’t know the seller. A-DOR-ABLE!
I have to say, Christmas with 3 kids is BUSY but SO much fun! I was proud of my kids for minding their manners (mostly) and not having any major meltdowns which in itself was a Christmas miracle considering the late nights, early mornings and no naps!
