Free Kids App: Pilo1 – The Pillow Fairy

by holly on October 30, 2012

At some point every parent encounters trouble putting their child to sleep at night.  I certainly have!  With three kids we’ve gone through all sorts of stages and various bedtime routines.  I think every child can relate to not wanting to go to bed at bedtime.  The Pilo1 – The Pillow Fairy app is about a child who doesn’t want to go to bed.  He (or she) receives a special package containing a Pilo doll who becomes a special bedtime friend that comes to life. At the beginning of the app you can choose the main character Tommy (a boy) or Sunny (a girl).  You’ll also be able to choose the clothing your Pilo doll will wear.

This interactive storybook found in the books category on iTunes features page to page fun from a game of hide and seek to putting together a puzzle.  Best of all, it’s a FREE app!  You can choose to listen to the story in English, Korean, or Chinese.  My kids like hearing a different language, especially when they already know the story in English.  They enjoy the interactive games within this storybook too.  The design and illustrations in this app are great — super cute and friendly.  This is just the sort of app I’d purchase for my kids.  I love the storybook/game/interactive combo because it keeps my kids interested and engaged.  You can find out more about the app and download it for FREE here.  It is available for iPhone and iPad.
