Genie Shapewear Leggings Review & #Giveaway

by Holly Duce on January 25, 2013

I’m a work at home mom of 3.  My fashion sense doesn’t stretch beyond jeans and tees and sweatshirts 99% of the time.  Then there’s that 1% of the time that I want to look cute while maintaing a sense of comfort when I need to leave the house.  Genie Shapewear Leggings help me put together a fashionable look that’s not only comfortable, it’s stylish too.  It’s not hard for me to throw on a pretty long length sweater, some leggings and boots.  If I’m really feeling it I might even add some jewelery!  Woah, mama!

Genie Shapewear Slim & Tone Leggings are great because they feature a high waist which can help slim the tummy area or can be folded or rolled down.  The leggings feature built-in invisible shapers with 5 zones of compression to target your trouble areas — tummy, hips, inner thighs, outer thighs and buttocks.  I tried both a size small and a size medium because I am on the taller side (5’9″).  Both were really comfortable but everything felt a little more “secure” if you know what I mean, with the size small.  Since I wear my leggings with boots, length wasn’t an issue but both pairs seemed long enough.

These leggings do have a slight sheen which probably isn’t even noticeable to others but reminded me a little bit of spandex.  If they had more of a cotton look I think I’d be more comfortable wearing them with a wider range of tops.  They way they look, at least to me, makes them seem more appropriate under a dress.  Either way, the leggings are super comfortable and awesome for shaping.  You can even wear them under a pair of jeans!

The leggings are sold in packs of 3 for $60.  You can find out more here.

Hello there, just wanted to know if there is a way to order the leggings in Canada!!, i’m dying to try these!!. I have crohns’s disease so traditional leggings or pants dig into my stomach causing even more discomfort!. These leggings would help since they are high waisted and not to mention, it would hide the bloating that I get from a flare up. Please let me know if and when they are available in Canada so I can try them. Thank you, Berta Martins

Hi Berta,

I’ve been told that you can order these and have them shipped to Canada however they are not actually available to purchase in stores in Canada. Hope this helps!

Holly
