Did you know that April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month? While many companies conduct animal testing of their products there plenty of brands that are 100% opposed to animal testing that offer great products to consumers. Below are three such companies along with one of their fabulous products to try:
- John Masters Organic — This brand is committed to using the finest, most therapeutic organic ingredients on the planet. Try their Bood Orange & Vanliaa Body Wash. Made from mild corn and coconut based cleansers infused with pink grapefruit, bourbon vanilla and blood orange essential oils, this body wash lathers into a creamy foam and awakens the senses with it’s euphoric scent.
- Clairvoyant Beauty —Lexie Masterson created Clairvoyant Beauty for health-minded women who demand natural products, but refuse to sacrifice quality results. All of the products are biodegradable, vegan, made from natural and organic ingredients and come in recyclable containers with outer cartons made from Forest Stewardship Council paper. The Blue Green Algae Body Polish features a nourishing mix of nutrient-rice Blue Green Algae and a combination of butters and healing sea salt that heals, hydrates and polishes your skin to smooth perfection.
- Dr. Hauschka — These natural skin care products and holistic home remedies respect the body’s natural rhythms and work to restore balance and support healing of humanity and the earth. Try Dr. Hauschka jewel inspired lip glosses to highlight your natural lip tone. Made with Seabuckthron oil to deliver vitamins and antioxidants, mango butter and apricot kernel oil for moisture and protection and anthyllis to soothe and calm, these lip glosses provide just the right amount of shine.
I tried all three of the products mentioned above with good results. The Blood Orange Vanilla body wash smells absolutely amazing and lathers well. It’s probably my favorite product of the three. A close second is the Dr. Hauschka lipgloss. It does have a slightly “botanical” smell/taste but the color (Ruby) is great and the staying power is good. The Blue Green Algae Body Polish only comes in third because it makes the shower a little slippery. I love products like these but always hesitate a little to use them because I have to clean the shower afterwards. I’m kind of lazy like that 🙂 Otherwise, this product does just what it’s supposed to — exfoliate and moisturize at the same time!
Honor Prevention of Cruelty to Animals this month and take some time to explore vegan and cruelty-free brands to help protect our furry friends!
