Yesterday was the last day of school but we’ve been lucky enough to have been blessed with lots of sunny days here in the Seattle area already this year!  We’re looking forward to an awesome summer and my kids are especially looking forward to the WATER fun.  Last year around this time we reviewed an Aeromax Astronaut Space Pack Sprayer.  We had so much fun with it that when we were offered the chance to review another Aeromax item, we were thrilled!  We chose the Jr. Space Explorer Inflatable Shuttle.  We had to wait a few days after receiving it for the sun to come out so we enjoyed the toy indoors:

While it worked just fine indoors, my kids were dying to get it wet.  As soon as the sun came out we set up the slip n’ slide and they took it for a spin.  The directions caution against using an electric pump but I just don’t have the lungs to blow up something this large.  We used the pump that goes to our inflatable bed which has a funnel like attachment on it.  It worked quite well — we were just careful not to over-fill it.  There are several different areas that need air including a really neat dash area that makes it look like the instrument panel is behind glass.  The handle in front is a nice feature, if for nothing else than to carry it from place to place.

A really cool feature of the Space Explorer is the two strategically placed QR codes that when scanned show actual video footage of a shuttle launch, a spectacular view of Mother Earth, a shuttle landing and a historical space lesson including the first woman and the first doctor to fly in space.
