UA ArmourShield™ FlavorBlast Mouthguard Review
My baby is playing tackle football this year. Okay, okay….he’s not my baby. He’s my oldest. But he’s still my baby. I love watching him learn the sport and trying his hardest out their on the field but that doesn’t mean I don’t worry. He is my baby after all. One way I can make sure he’s protected is by making sure he wears a good mouthguard. Jackson played flag football last year so he’s no stranger to the mouthguard. Still, having an incentive to wear it means less reminders from mom. The Under Armor ArmourShield FlavorBlast mouthguard is flavored which makes it a lot more fun to wear. Funny enough, we were given a hot pink mouthguard to test out, a fact that lost any concern of being a “girl color” as soon as it was known that it was Fruit Punch flavored. He was excited beyond belief about it!
The other day Jackson had to wear his back-up mouthguard. He complained the entire practice about how uncomfortable it was. Looks like we will be buying another FlavorBlast Mouthguard! This time we’ll get black (bubble gum flavor) to match our team colors.
The ArmourShield with FlavorBlast mouthguard features BiteFlex technology which absorbs energy on impact and ArmourPlate insert that improves protection. The embedded flavor beads offer long lasting taste that is gluten-free, sugar-free and kosher. The boil and bit fitting process is easy and the patented polymer shrink technology offers a locked in fit for easy breathing and talking. The mouthguard comes with a helmet tether or can be worn strapless.
The ArmorSheild FlavorBlast Mouthguard is available in 2 sizes: Adult (12+) and Youth (11 & under). It is also available in the following flavors/colors:Blaze
- Orange (Orange Mint)
- Hi-Viz Pink (Fruit Punch)
- Electric Blue (Berry)
- Hyper Green (Mint)
- Black (Bubble Gum)
This particular mouthguard sells for $21.99. It is available at the Bite Tech store online along with a wide selection of other mouthguards. It pays to have a good mouthguard. It means less messing around with it and less arguing with your little sportster about actually wearing it rather than chewing on it.
Fact is, an ADA study showed that up to 20% off sports-related injuries occur to the face, jaw and teeth. With an estimated 20 million children participating in sports programs in the US, 1 in 10 athletes have a chance of suffering a facial or dental injury during a single season. Wear protection!
