We live in a new age. As a parent, it seems there are far more things to worry about than our own parents ever had to deal with. So much of it stems from technology. We’ve all heard, seen, or even experienced horror stories in which our digital footprint comes back to haunt us. Maybe you’ve posted something on Facebook in anger. When you stop seeing red and come to your senses, you delete the post. Unfortunately that doesn’t mean it’s gone forever. Someone could have done a screen capture or printed it from their computer. There are valuable lessons to be taught when it comes to online safety in so many aspects. The reality is, we are still learning ourselves, even as we teach our children.
Dstrux is a new product that allows you to have complete control over what you share. When you share something with Dstrux you can set a time limit on how long it can be viewed before it vanishes. The most important feature of Dstrux is that it allows you to leave zero digital footprint. Encryption is applied to all files, and they are shredded, erased, and written over as soon as they self-destruct. They cannot be printed copied, saved or even screen captured.
If a recipient forwards something with Dstrux, you are able to track everyone that receives it and designate which of these additional recipients may view it and for how long. You can disable or adjust the time on anything you share whenever you want giving you complete control. Dstrux has obvious benefits for the social media world but there are other ways it can be used that you may not have though of including:
- Sending medical documents to the doctor knowing they cannot be forwarded to a 3rd party
- Sending private information to school without a concern it will be seen by someone who should not see it
- Sending private photos to family and friends, knowing that they are safe and won’t end up in the wrong hands
