Nursing wear is really hard to find. Stylish and comfortable nursing wear is even harder to find. It’s a shame there isn’t a bigger selection at major retailers but I’ve recently discovered some excellent staple pieces at Glamourmom.com.
When my first born arrived I didn’t really know what to expect when it came to nursing. I was self-conscious and nervous about nursing in front of people and I was awkward at it. I bought nursing top thinking it would help but it just complicated things. The layers got all caught up and I couldn’t get the baby positioned right with it on. I ended up cutting the layering piece right out of it!
It’s very obvious that the designer of Glamourmom garments knows the frustrations of nursing. Glamourmom garments have features I’ve not seen in any other nursing wear. Every article of Glamourmom clothing contains a built-in nursing bra with clasps that allow one-handed access. A hidden
elastic shelf helps support your breasts along with an inner soft cup frame. My favorite thing about these built-in bras is the light mesh lining that holds nursing pads in place so that they don’t fall out when the top is folded down to nurse.
Glamourmom sent me the Long Nursing Tank for my review. I love it so much that I have no doubt that I will continue to wear even after I wean my daughter. It is the perfect length for me. I am tall and have a long torso so I was happy to have the option of a longer length. It’s perfect to wear with low-rise jeans and it keeps my tummy covered while still looking stylish. It’s comfortable too! I’ve been wearing it as a layering piece and I like the way it looks under everything with the bottom of the tank showing under my shorter shirts. When the weather warms up I will feel comfortable wearing this tank on it’s own.
