Review & Giveaway: HealthMaster LivingWell Blender

I love blended beverages on a hot day.  Today was the hottest day of the year so far and after working at a garage sale all day I couldn’t wait to get home and try out a new Orange Julius recipe I found.  I popped a homemade pizza in the oven then blended the Orange Julius in my LivingWell HealthMaster blender.

It was a delicious, special treat just because it was a sunny friday.  To me, all blended beverages feel like a treat so I love the fact that I can mix up fresh fruit smoothies for a healthy breakfast. The HealthMaster is big enough to make multiple servings all at once.  Since I received the HealthMaster I’ve used it several times a week.  I can make a smoothie for my hubby, myself and a little one for my two year old and it fits in less than half of the blender.  It’s huge and I often refer to it as “the monster”.  The size of this thing was almost a drawback because I have very limited counter and cupboard space in my kitchen.  However, I love this thing so much though that I haven’t even put it away.  It has a permanent place on prime countertop real estate.
I received the HealthMaster at the beginning of May so the very first thing I used it for was virgin margaritas for Cinco de Mayo.  I was amazed at how quickly it blended whole ice cubes and the batch I made was big enough for four adults and one child plus there was still room for more!  Over the past few weeks I’ve made all sorts of fresh fruit and yogurt smoothies as well has several different baby foods for my five month old daughter.  It was awesome for the baby food- much better than the smoothie maker I used when my son was a baby.  I’ve been very pleased with it’s performance in everything I’ve used it for.
The base and lid both have safety features- they must be fitted properly or the controls will not work.  The lid also has an optional tamper to help mix thicker things.  I love this feature because it’s really helpful.  You don’t have to remove the lid to mix things up a little.
The HealthMaster comes with 4 recipe booklets to make everything from fondue to gelato, soup and salad dressing.  I’m stuck in smoothie mode but I do plan on trying out some new recipes from the booklets because they are all healthy options to add extra nutrition into our diet. has some great recipes and how-to videos as well as more info on the HealthMaster.
