We’ve been on the go a lot this summer so when we are home, the kids seem to get more bored than usual. I like having a variety of games and activities for them to do since I work from home and can’t entertain them myself all the time. Marbles The Brain Store is a specialty store that offers unique, challenging games an activities to help build better brains — you gotta like that! With 29 locations around the country plus an online store, everyone has access to their awesome products. We got to try a couple:
Tugie — This game has a simple concept that is fast and easy to learn. You won’t have to spend much time teaching your kids to play. Even my four year old picked it right up. It doesn’t take much time to play but it’s fun enough that your kids will want to play several rounds. Players take turns rolling the die to see which color piece you need to tug from the Tugie Tower. Be careful! If any pieces fall while you tug, you must keep them and they count as points against you. The player with the least amount of fallen pieces at the end of the game wins. This is a game of balance and precision that will help develop fine motor coordination. It was a hit with my 3 kids and one of their friends too! Tugie is a Parents’ Choice Gold Award Winner and it’s easy to see why!
Sock Puppet Charades — This is a newcomer to Marbles The Brain Store but it sure to become a favorite. It’s a classic game of charades but with sock puppets and small props. It will encourage children to use their imaginations and will illicit lots of giggles. This game is super fun and helps with social intelligence while engaging with other players. Manual coordination and creativity are skills that can be enhanced playing this game which was aParents’ Choice “Fun Stuff” Award Winner.
