I’ve tried several different types of gel over the past years but I was drawn to the MelodySusie 1-Step Collection, well…because ONE STEP! Seriously people! It doesn’t get much easier! I’ve always tried to keep my nails nice however after I had kids, I rarely have time to paint my nails and wait for them to dry. Other gel kits have a multi-step process which can be lengthly. Not so with Melody Susie.
Late Saturday night I decided to watch a movie and paint my nails and take a much deserved break. Using the Pro24W Smart Nail Dryer and a beautiful polish from the Party Queen collection called Wine Purple, I was able to get gorgeous nails in a matter of minutes.
The only prep I did was washing my nails with soap to remove any oil and make sure they were throughly dry. Next I painted one coat on my right hand and cured it under the light. I repeated this on my left hand then gave each nail a second coat and cured it under the lamp again. Boom. Done.
Don’t they look great? I didn’t even have to wait to go to bed. I was beat so I turned off my movie and went straight to bed. No sheet marks in the morning, just a pretty manicure that looks like a professional did it!
I noticed a bubble in my thumb nail and about halfway through the day it broke open and peeled off a layer of polish. I realized immediately what had happened. I don’t think I had my thumb all the way under the light so it didn’t cure completely. When I put a second coat on, it didn’t adhere to the first coat where it wasn’t fully cured. It’s probably not even noticeable to anyone but me because the nail is still full color, only a section of the top layer of polish peeled away. This will be an easy fix next time. I just have to make sure all of my fingers are completely under the light!
