I’ve been a fan of essential oils for many years. Not just because they smell great either! Essential oils can be used in your household in many, many different ways whether you’re looking for chemical free ways to make your home smell great, wishing to have more natural options for your family’s health and wellness or are interested in natural beauty products, the Simply Earth subscription box is an excellent way to build your collection of oils and learn how to use them in a variety of ways.
Simply Earth is a monthly subscription box that contains 4 full sized bottles of essential oils plus 6 recipe cards and the extra ingredients you’ll need to make the recipes. You’ll also get a set of sticker labels. When you order your first box you’ll receive a BONUS BOX for FREE! This box contains commonly used ingredients and supplies you’ll use with recipes in future boxes. My box contained 6 roller bottles, 6 dropper bottles, coconut oil, almond oil, solid coconut oil and beeswax.
The November box is Relaxation themed. The box included Lime, Eucalyptus, Cinnamon, and Tranquility oils. It also came with dried lavender flowers, powdered whole milk and a little bag, all of which are needed to make the recipes that came with this box. I’m always excited about the recipes that come with the box because I want to be able to actually use my oils beyond just diffusing them and making my house smell great. The recipes are always really easy and come out with great results! I can keep the recipe cards and use them later to make another batch or even to make gifts!
This month the box came with enough supplies to make 3 bath soaks, a set of shower steamers, a diffuser blend and a roll-on. The bath and shower items were easy to make and smell fantastic!
Each month there are usually a couple of items that aren’t included that you will need to make your recipes. They are always common household items that you’ll likely already have on hand. For example, two of this month’s recipes called for ground oatmeal. The directions say to grind the oatmeal in a blender or coffee grinder. I used my Ninja blender and it worked great!
For the shower steamers I needed an ice cube tray or small mold. My ice cube tray worked just fine but if you have a cute mold handy, even better! I was actually thinking of adding a tiny bit of dye to these and using a fun mold to make little stocking stuffers with these!
I just put my finished shower steamers in a ziplock bag and labeled with the cute sticker that is included in the box. These would be even better in a reusable tin or something a bit cuter, especially if you’ll be gifting them. I’ll use these ones for our family and next time I’ll make a bigger batch to share and come up with a better presentation for them. The steamers called for dried lavender flowers but I accidentally used too much in the Lavender Buds & Tranquility Milk Bath recipe so I didn’t have any leftover. Instead, I just used a couple drops of lavender oil I had on hand from a previous box. They might look a little plain but they still smell fantastic!
I love how the labels that come with each month’s box make your creations look professional. This Lime and Eucalyptus Roll on can be applied to pulse points for energy, congestion relief and an uplifting aroma. Lime is one of my favorite oils so I fell for this one right away!
Simply Earth provides quality products. The roller bottles have metal roller balls which are essential because the oils can break down plastic rollers and cause chemicals to leach into your product. The roller bottle I used was from my Bonus Box.
Each month’s box comes with a diffuser blend. If you try it and like it you can create a master blend using a bottle from your bonus box. That way you can just add 1-3 drops of your master blend to your diffuser rather than creating the recipe each time you want to use it.
Each month you’ll learn a little bit about the oils included in your box and how to use them. Feel free to think outside the box and create your own blends and recipes — have a little fun with it! Use oils from past boxes to create new things as your oil collection grows!
As you can see, Simply Earth subscription boxes have a wide variety of uses and will help you put your essential oils to use in ways you might not otherwise thought to! These are all suggested uses but each oil has many different benefits. Simply Earth educates you so they can be used properly. Information is included in your box but you can also find helpful blog posts and even more recipes on the Simply Earth website.
Essential oils can be expensive but Simply Earth makes it VERY affordable! A Simply Earth Recipe box is just $39 and always includes 4 full sized oils making them less than $10 per bottle. That’s a steal! Plus, the recipe box always comes with additional supplies and ensures you know exactly how to get the most out of your oils. They’re worth nothing if they just sit on your shelf unused!
