I have come across some of the best ideas I’ve seen in a long time that are very resourceful, so I wanted to share them with you!
Sandbox Made at Home
We have been considering getting our daughter a sandbox to play in outside, but I figured I would wait until next summer because it was just an added cost that I couldn’t justify right now. Now that I have seen this idea, it is something cheap and easy that I can do now, so I am just tickled.
Fill a large, plastic storage container (such as a short rubbermaid container) with sand and toys. You can snap on the lid and put it in your vehicle for when you travel to their grandparents’ houses! What a great idea!!!!! It’s very economical also.
Make Gift Bags out of Reusable Grocery Totes
Paper gift bags can run $1.50-$3!!! Instead of wasting money on bags that are thrown away a lot of times, put presents in reusable grocery totes that only cost $1 and have many uses afterwards. Decorate with some colorful tissue paper and Voila!
Make Sidewalk Chalk into Paint
Crush up a piece or two of sidewalk chalk ina container and mix it with a cup of water. Your child can paint the driveway with liquid chalk and it washes right up!
Thanks to the September Parents magazine for these ideas!
