My first baby was a boy and I enjoyed shopping for sports themed items, trucks, trains and everything blue. When I found out I was having a girl the second time around I could hardly wait to shop for pretty dresses, bows, dolls and everything girlie . I was thrilled to be lucky enough to have one of each.
When I discovered Piggy Paint I just had to have it for my daughter. I cannot think of anything much cuter than baby feet except for baby feet with painted toe nails. I’d never want to expose my children to anything harmful and just the scent of nail polish screams toxic! Piggy Paint was the perfect solution.
Piggy Paint is non-toxic and odorless. It air dries in 60 seconds- perfect for wiggling babies, active toddlers and pre–schoolers. It comes in 13 different colors from sweet and innocent to bright and fun. Piggy Paint nail polish remover is also non-toxic, odorless and hypoallergenic. I was skeptical that this odorless solution could remove paint, but it did! And it truly was odorless! I do have to put a little disclaimer on this. While it says “non-toxic” it means that it isn’t toxic on the skin. It does contain alcohol and should be kept out of reach of children so that it is notaccidentally consumed. It is packaged in a bottle with a child safe cap to help prevent little ones from opening it.
Piggy Paint is water based but with it’s consistency, packaging and function you’d never be able to tell it apart from regular polish aside from the fact that it is odorless. While my three month old daughter was sleeping in my lap, I put a coat of Piggy Paint on her little piggies. It went on smoothly and while the directions say to do 2-3 coats I didn’t find it necessary. The directions also recommend using a hair dryer on warm setting for one minute for maximum chip resistance. I skipped this step as well and didn’t have any problems. In fact, her toes were still perfectly polished after several weeks when I finally decided to try out the Piggy Paint remover.
Piggy Paint and Piggy Polish Remover are both made with all natural ingredients. They are safe for your children and safe for the environment. Every ingredient in the polish is biodegradable. The colorants used are FDA approved and non-toxic.
Piggy Paint was founded by Melanie Hurley, a stay at home mom of two little girls. After discovering her daughter’s “kid polish” ate through a foam plate she went on a quest for a safer alternative and Piggy Paint was born. I love these tips on her website that show how to turn Piggy Paint into a learning tool.
Melanie has generously offered a Piggy Paint gift pack of winner’s choice to one lucky winner.

Do you have to have the Piggy Paint Nail Polish Remover in order to remove the polish?
Is it possible to remove it with regular nail polish remover?
If you’ve tried it with both removers…(besides the smell or lack of) is there any difference?
