Review & Giveaway: Nuby

Nuby has recently released a new line of products called Nuby Natural Touch.  They are designed to come as close to natural feeding as possible and are all 100% BPA free. Nuby recently sent me a package of products to test out.

I am a breastfeeding stay at home mom who hates to pump bottles.  I haven’t had much need to because my daughter is always with me.  You might recall this post, where I asked for advice about getting  her to take a bottle so that I could go get my hair done.  I have not been very diligent with this process for various reasons (one being that I’m lazy-shh…don’t tell anyone!)  I did try the Nuby Natural Touch Softflex Silicone Nurser a couple of times and I loved the fact that the shape of the nipple is a lot like a breast.  It fit more naturally in my daughter’s mouth than the other bottle I had been trying to use. A few times she tried to take it but she’s just not used to the feel of something other than skin in her mouth (she doesn’t take a pacifier either).  One thing I really loved about this bottle is that it is squeezable so you can squeeze the air out of it before a feeding.  This feature was great for me because I could easily squirt some of my pumped milk into her mouth so she would realize what it was I was trying to get her to take.

Nuby Natural Touch Softflex Infafeeder  This thing is really cool and I can’t wait to test it out.  I am just getting ready to try cereal with my little one and I think this will be great. It looks like a bottle but instead of a nipple it has a soft silicone spoon attached to it.  The bottle is soft and squeezable so that you can squeeze the food right out onto the spoon.  It will be perfect for baby cereal and pureed fruits and veggies.

I should also mention that all the nipples in the Natural Touch line have a special valve to help prevent colic and are completely interchangeable.

Nuby Milk Powder Dispenser  This is a handy little gadget for formula.  You can put a pre-measured amount into it and store it right inside of the bottle!

Nuby Natural Touch First Cup  This is another one I can’t wait to use because I love it’s design.  It has a one piece silicone no-spill spout with a valve that opens with minimal pressure. It looks easy to clean which is important to me because I can’t stand the cups that get stuff all stuck in them.  The top is interchangeable with the rest of the Natural Touch line.  It is available with or without handles.  Personally, I like the easy grip handles because it makes it a lot easier for baby to hold while they are learning to drink from a cup.

Nuby Natural Touch Bottle Brush  Not all bottle brushes are created equal.  I happen to like this one because of the shape and the dual cleaning surfaces.  I also love that the nipple brush is stored right in the handle.

I love all of the ideas of the Natural Touch line- now I just have to get my daughter to love them too!  Now that she is a little older it might be a littler easier on mommy to introduce  them to her.  Mommy needs a break and if there is any bottle she is going to like, I have no doubt it will be a Natural Touch.
