From food to flight, 1935 was a year for legends: Amelia Earhart became the first person to fly solo from Honolulu to Oakland; Monopoly debuted; Elvis Presley was born; and two iconic cans appeared on store shelves: Dinty Moore and Hormel. Seventy-five years later, these brands can be found in virtually every pantry in America.
Each brand began with a single product: Hormel chili con carne and Dinty Moore beef stew; today almost 20 varieties are available. Dinty Moore remains the number-one-selling stew in the nation and Hormel chili is the category’s leading seller. Bob Pepper was noted saying, “It’s no small feat to remain popular and relevant with consumers for 75 years.” and I highly agree with him.

i heat and eat their beef stew all the time it is really good
Hi Andrew B =)
As soon as I read this for some reason I pegged you as a bachelor. =) I’m not quite sure why, which made me laugh at myself – seeing as how I too heat and eat their beef stew as well. =)
Seeing as how you’re a regular, did you notice when they changed the type of meat they serve in their stew?
Dinty Moore Stew has always been a heat and eat meal. The Hormel I make into a hot dip. chili with and without beans and velveeta cheese.
We make a mashed potato volcano on the plate with a big crater and fill the crater with Dinty Moore Beef Stew. Usually we have hot crescent rolls with it.
Dinty Moore rocks my world!!
I like the Turkey Chili/No beans for my chili cheese dogs.
Dinty Moore is awesome
