I can’t believe it’s August already and school is right around the corner. Maybe I’m in denial as my oldest is starting Kindergarten and I’m not quite ready to let go! I thought perhaps a little school shopping might loosen me up a little and since Kohl’s provided me with a $50 gift card, I set out to see what kinds of deals I could score.
I ended up with a pair of cargo pants with a long sleeve thermal top, a pair of athletic pants with matching moisture wicking top and a hooded sweatshirt that could go with either of the outfits for extra warmth. All of that came out to almost exactly $50 AND I scored $10 Kohl’s Cash! Not bad for not even using a coupon!

I love shopping at Kohl’s for their mix and match items not only for great prices but it makes it really easy to dress my kids! I found a great selection for both boys and girls with prices I was really happy with— everything I bought was $10 or less!
While I love shopping for my kids, I also had to stop in and see if I could find any deals for myself. Since it’s finally heating up here in the Seattle area, I was really in need of some summer tops. I scored a tee for only $5 and a cute tank top for $8. I think Kohl’s is my new favorite place to shop! They even carry Rock & Republic now along with Simply Vera Vera Wang, LC Lauren Conrad, Jennifer Lopez and more! I’ll be heading back soon to spend my Kohl’s cash and pick up some school clothes for my daughter on the next trip! And I’m sure I’ll find my way over to the adult sections of the store too — the kids aren’t the only ones who could use some new clothes for fall!
