We received an advanced copy of Disney’s Brave on Friday. We’ve already watched it twice! Needless to say, my kids really enjoyed it and so did I! We watched it on Blu-ray because we don’t have a 3D player but I imagine the picture would look absolutely stunning in 3D. The soundtrack and animation are equally beautiful. Here’s a little more about the movie:
Some believe that fate is predetermined while others argue that destiny’s path can be altered. When Scottish princess Merida disagrees with her mom, the queen, about her kingdom’s traditions regarding the marriage of a princess, she becomes determined to change her fate. Believing in the mystical will-o’-the-wisps which are said to lead you to your destiny, she follows them into the woods after a heated fight with the queen. There she meets a strange which who gives her a spell to change her mother. The beastly curse causes complete chaos and forces Merida to discover that fate and bravery lie within. Will she be able to break the spell and mend the mother-daughter bond?
Brave will be available in a 5 disc combo pack which includes Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, DVD and digital copy. Released on November 13th, it will retail for around $50. A 3 disc combo pack and single disc DVD will also be available. This Disney movie is destined to become a classic.All three of my children ages 5, 3 and 2 sat through the movie and really enjoyed it. My children don’t scare easily but I can see how some scenes from the movie might be scary for little ones so keep that in mind if your kids are sensitive, especially to scary animals. That being said, this movie is also filled with fun an plenty of laughter.
