You know how the hardest part about exercising is just getting the motivation to get off the couch? Well the same goes for me with being productive around the house. It’s really hard for me to get things done with two little ones running around getting into stuff. I challenged myself to see how much I could get done while they are both in their high chairs and safely contained during snacks and lunch time. I set my timer for 10 minutes and tackle a problem area. It’s amazing what you can get done when you know you need to focus. Check this out. This is my dining table BEFORE.
It tends to be a collecting area for stuff that needs to be put away and it drives my hubby nuts. We usually eat at our kitchen table unless we have company so it’s not an area that gets used all that frequently. After the 10 minute timer it looked like THIS:
I was a bit disappointed as I had hope that the table would be clear by the time the timer went off. I had set my sights too high though considering I actually planned on putting all of this stuff where it BELONGS which required a couple of trips up and down the stairs in between getting my kids a refill on their water and a few extra raisins to keep them happy. But guess what? After one more 10 minute session my table looked like THIS:
