Twittermoms and Office Depot have teamed up asking us to tell you 10 smart holiday and shopping tips. So, I have compiled my list and would love to hear yours.
Are you wishing it could all be easier and take less time? Have you ever dreamed of a one-stop shop to cover all your holiday shopping and gifting needs? Even if you haven’t thought about Office Depot before as a holiday shopping destination, you should! Did you know that you can get gifts for everyone from your toddlers to your grandpa in one easy stop? Not to mention, Office Depot carries all your gift wrapping essentials and can ship your gifts directly from the store to your entire list!
1. Shop at the Dollar Tree or Target’s Dollar Section for stocking stuffers and even small toys. You never know what you can find in these locations. I adore Target’s Dollar Section!
2. Watch for sales. Browse the circulars and see when items are on sale. Purchase these items whenever the price is low- even if it’s early.
3. Shop all year long. This will help from hitting your bank account all at once! It is amazing how easy it is to do and you can be done before the holiday rush!
4. Bake people goodies instead of purchasing gifts. This also will save you a ton of money. Who doesn’t like to eat? Make some fudge, cookies, brownies- the possibilities are endless. Pair them with a nice box and bow and voila!
5. Make your own bows out of recycled paper. This can be time consuming, but it can save you some dough during this time.
6. Don’t be so scared of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. These are great times to get some great deals as long as you plan ahead and aren’t scared of the adventure!
7. Think outside of the box as far as gift giving goes. Purchase items like movie tickets for children (or adults). It doesn’t always have to be an actual toy or gift. Offer to babysit for others. Your services can be just as (if not more) valuable than actual items.
8. Have a budget on how much you want to spend on your gifts and stick to it! You will thank yourself later (or kick yourself if you don’t stick to it).
9. Be safe while shopping online. Keep your information confidential and avoid scams. Just be smart when you shop and don’t fall victim to identity theft.
10. Be aware of return policies. There are many differences in return policies at each store. Be sure to ask before you purchase.
So, what are some smart holiday and shopping tips that you have? We’d love to hear them!
