I try to stay healthy throughout the year by leaving my bottom desk drawer filled with good snacks for work. It currently has natural applesauce, Fiber One bars, and some Zone bars.
A few years back I worked very very hard to lose 35lbs. I have been able to keep it off now if you don’t count a pregnancy. My baby just turned 1 and I am back down even below my pre-pregnancy weight (thank you breastfeeding!) and want to stay that way! The biggest helps for me have been my very encouraging husband who will eat anything I put in front of him, and a commitment to eating “real food” when I am at home and limiting my food consumption outside of our home. Our philosophy is that if we don’t buy junk, we can’t eat junk! So I stay out of the middle aisles of the grocery store altogether. If I am craving sweets, I make something like oatmeal raisin bars from scratch.
Keep a food journal it really helps you to be aware of what and how much you are eating.
