Every parent should have at least one quiet game in their arsenal of tricks. You know, something to keep the kids quiet and occupied so you don’t go crazy on “one of those days”. A little like “Where’s Waldo?’, Find It Games adds another dimension to the search and find game. In their latest game, Starry Night, a clear star shaped container is filled with multi-colored pellets and 40 nighttime themed objects. The container cannot be opened. The goal of the game is to find all of the items by turning and shaking the container to uncover them. Amongst the many objects like a sleeping bag, the moon, a mug of hot chocolate, planets and an alien are special items that glow in the dark adding another fun element to the game. Made for ages 8 and up, Starry Night is an ideal kids game for quiet play in the car or to wind down before bed. If you have a child that is afraid of the dark, Starry Night may provide a little bit of comfort. Starry Night retails for around $20.
While the game is recommended for ages 8 and up, much younger kids will also enjoy playing with it. My four year old was already familiar with this sort of game since he’d played with something similar in our Dentist’s office. While he may not be able to read the objects to search for yet, he still enjoys discovering new pieces inside the container. My almost three year old enjoys it too though she mostly just like to shake it.
Find it Games has won a slew of awards and it’s no surprise why. Starry Night is expected to tack on some awards of it’s own. You can find out more about Find It Games at www.FindItGames.com. I am so excited about this. My daughter has been studying this painting/artist in school and fell in love with Starry Night. This is definitely going on the Christmas Wish List!
