There’s this crazy but probably lasting bacon fad right now, ‘cuz who doesn’t like bacon? Baconery is a bakery based in NYC with an online store that makes all of their products with bacon. Bacon cookies? Yep! Bacon Brownies? Yes! Pecan Pie with bacon? Mmm hmm. And before you turn up your nose, let me tell you from my personal experience, they’re good! If you like the sweet and savory combination of flavors, you’ll love Baconery products. I especially enjoyed the brownies. They were super moist and chocolately with just the right amount of bacon. I also tried all three varieties of cookies: Chocolate Peanut Butter Bacon, Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bacon. While a little on the crumbly side, these cookies were a nice combo of sweet and salty. My favorite were the Chocolate Peanut Butter Bacon with peanut butter candies inside. Last but not least I sampled the Special of the month, Bacon Pecan Pie and it was delicious! These mini pies were taken up a notch with the addition of bacon which only enhanced the traditional flavors of pecan pie. Well done, Baconery!
