I remember summers when I was a little girl. My mom would take me to the library and I’d check out as many books as I could carry. I loved to read. I know not all kids are as interested but with the right books, kids can beat the boredom! Here are a few from Candlewick Press that are sure to impress:

Stickers make everything better, right? Maisy at the Beach by Lucy Cousins features stickers to enhance the story of Maisy and her friend’s fun day at the beach building sand castles, enjoying a snack and collecting shells. This was on of my own children’s favorites!
My personal favorite from this bunch of books is “Where’s Waldo? The Search for the Lost Things by Martin Hanford. The book is filled with hands-on games and teasers that will keep you thinking while Waldo and his friends hunt for their missing things.
For those who like a little excitement, The Scary Places Map Book: Seven Terrifying Tours by B.G. Hennessy and illustrated by Erwin Madrid will be right up their alley!
