I had a Raggedy Ann doll when I was a little girl. I had all but forgotten about her until I received the opportunity to review the new ones that were being released. Since I have a little girl of my own now who has long red hair I thought it would be really neat for her to have a doll she could relate to. It was my little one though who really took to this doll:
Aurora World in conjunction with Hasbro recently released a variety of classic Raggedy Ann and Andy rag dolls that feature the perfect combination of vintage and modern elements. These handmade dolls are heirloom quality with exquisite detail including classic loop style yarn hair and fine embroidered facial features. The 8″, 12″ 16″ and 25″ classic Raggedy Ann or Raggedy Andy rag dolls are: $10, $15, $25 and $35 respectively while the 7″ Fancy Pals style (Raggedy Ann Butterfly or Red Ribbon) are $17 each. Four holiday styles will join the line later this year — the Raggedy Ann “Chilly Chic” and “Santa’s Helper” and Raggedy Andy “Chilly Chic” and “Santa”. All of them are 16 inches and will retail for around $27. All of the dolls are designed for children 18 months and up purchased at retail or online at the official Aurora shop.
