I have a love/hate relationship with little building bricks like KRE-O. My five year old absolutely loves them. He’ll work on a set non-stop until it’s finished. In fact we can hardly get him to go to bed when he gets a new set and then he’ll wake up in middle of the night and worked on it! I love that he is so passionate about his creations and it blows me away how great he is at constructing them with the directions. Inevitably there are “extra” pieces left over and pieces fall off while he’s playing the finished product. That’s where the hate part comes in. It’s impossible for me to keep the pieces with the sets they belong to. I find them in the most unusual places — just about anywhere you can think of actually! They turn up in the car, the washing machine, in bed, you name it! That being said, the positives far outweigh these little annoyances and I truly enjoy seeing my son’s excitement when he gets to build.
