TruMoo For Halloween + Goosebumps DVD #Giveaway

Years ago before I had kids of my own, I was a nanny.  Each year I planned a Halloween party for all of the neighborhood kids.  I tried to keep the snacks on the healthy side since candy is such a huge part of Halloween already.  Now I have three kids of my own and trying to keep sweets to a minimum on a daily basis is a challenge, let alone holidays! While I haven’t thrown any Halloween parties for my own kids yet, I make it a point to eat something healthy before heading out trick or treating each year.  That being said, I still want to make the meal fun for them so we can all have an enjoyable evening.

TruMoo comes to the rescue for your Halloween party beverages with their limited edition chocolate milk and vanilla milk which is available in an orange color!  TruMoo contains 35% less sugar than the leading chocolate milk competitor and contains no high fructose corn syrup.  It’s delicious on it’s own but if you’re looking for something more festive and special, try one of the following creative concoctions:

Ingredients

3 cups Limited Edition TruMoo Lowfat Vanilla Milk (orange color)

1 ½ cups lowfat vanilla Greek yogurt

5 cups ice cubes

¼ cup fat-free whipped cream

Candy corn for garnish, optional

Directions

In blender combine TruMoo, yogurt and ice cubes. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.

To serve, pour into serving glasses. Top with fat free whipped cream and candy corn.

Serves 4.

Monster Mash Mudslide

Ingredients

4 cups TruMoo Lowfat Chocolate Milk

10 chocolate wafer cookies, coarsely broken

½ cup frozen non-dairy whipped topping, thawed

8 mini chocolate chips or mini chocolate candies

Directions

In blender, combine TruMoo Lowfat Chocolate Milk and chocolate wafer cookies until smooth. Heat mixture in saucepan or microwave until just heated through.*

To serve, pour chocolate milk mixture into 4 glasses. For each serving, spoon a large, upright dollop of whipped topping to resemble a ghost. Insert chocolate chips or chocolate candies into the dollop for eyes.

Serves 4.

*To enjoy a cold mudslide, do not heat in saucepan or microwave.

My kids think flavored milk is a real treat so they’ll be delighted when it’s served with Halloween dinner.  I may even surprise them with a breakfast smoothie.  I think the Spooky Smoothie recipe would be great with a banana added to it!
