I’ve got a really bad habit of ruining important things by accidentally washing them. You’d think I’d learn but so far I’ve washed my husband’s passport, his cell phone and my digital camera. I also dropped my phone in the bathtub once while I was cleaning When I heard about Kyocera waterproof smartphones it immediately perked my interest. These phones are great in the rain and can endure spills and even dunks. The Kyocera Hydro Edge is waterproof for up to 30 minutes in 3.28 feet of water and features a 4″ impact resistant Dragontrail glass touchscreen display that can survive most accidents — perfect for people who drop their phones a lot (and who doesn’t? It’s not just me, right?!) It’s loaded with other features including:
- 5 MP camera with panoramic capabilities and advanced features
- Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) platform
- Kyocera Smart Sonic Receive technology to help you hear
All of this at a really affordable price too! In fact, it’s free with a 2 year Sprint agreement ($229.99 value). Sprint has a great “Framily Plan” with pricing that lets you decide who you consider family. The more people on the plan, the better the price!
New Sprint customers pay $55 per month for unlimited talk, text and 1 GB of data but if you get a group of at least 7 people to start everyone gets unlimited talk, text and 1GB of data for only $25 per month per line. The more people in your “Framily” the greater the savings. The cost per person goes down $5 a month up to a maximum monthly discount of $30 per line. Since each member of the group can customize their plan to meet their unique needs and each account is billed separately your “Framily” can consist of friends, family, neighbors, your yoga instructor, dog walker and your favorite barista! Plus, for only $20 per month per line, group members can buy up to unlimited data and get a new phone every year.
