Neutrogena Skincare Review & #Giveaway

Since my pre-teen days I’ve had problem skin.  It was really bad in middle school so I saw a dermatologist.  I’ve been very picky about what I use on my skin ever since.  Neutrogena was one of the brands that the dermatologist recommended and one of the only drugstore brands that I’ll use.  I like treating my skin at night so that products don’t interfere with my makeup so these two new products were definitely something I wanted to try.

The Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream is great for the eye area at night but can also be worn under makeup.  It absorbs well so it doesn’t effect makeup application. I’m 36 and wrinkles around my eyes are becoming more prominent. I want to do what I can to prolong aging for as long as I can.  This product uses a unique combination of Retinol SA, Glucose Complex, and Hyaluronic Acid which helps with the following:

• Fades the look of stubborn crow’s feet
• Brightens and evens under eye area
• Smooths fine lines & texture
• Reduces the look of dark circles

This product didn’t irritate my skin at all though it does have the potential to cause mild redness, a warm, tingling sensation and/or flaking.  This is just the product doing it’s job You can use the product every other day as your skin adjusts.  I appreciated that this product does not contain fragrance, especially since it’s used in the delicate eye area.

I was less pleased with the Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer for Night.  While I think this product has great potential, I stopped using it after just one use when I realized it contained fragrance.  This product is very similar to the eye cream but designed for use on your facial area.  It does the same thing using the same active ingredients — Retinol SA, Glucose Complex, and Hyaluronic Acid.  It’s great for smoothing wrinkles and diminishing the look of age spots.  Even after just one use my skin felt smoother.  I just don’t care for added fragrances on my facial skin so I was disappointed when I realized that this product contained one.  Total bummer.
