Last year I only had one kiddo at school for lunch. This year I’ll have two and next year all three of my kids will take lunch to school. It’s time for me to refine my lunch packing skills. Rubbermaid LunchBlox makes it easy not only to pack lunches neatly but to keep them cold, foods separated and protection from being squished. The Sandwich Kit has a compartment for a sandwich + 1 large side and 2 small sides. Each container has a snap on lid and all of the pieces fit together in a block with a Blue Ice layer in between to keep everything cold.
At first I worried that the compartments were too small but when I actually packed a lunch I realized they are actually quite roomy. I didn’t even fill them up to the top! I could fit two pocket sandwiches in the sandwich container which was designed to fit different sizes of bread. The larger snack compartment holds more than enough crackers and the two smaller compartments also held a lot more than would be needed for my kid’s lunch.
I love the modular stye of the snap in containers and how everything stays neat, tidy and perfectly portioned. The containers even have handy measurements on the sides for those that need a visual for portioning. Rubbermaid also offers other configurations for different style lunch boxes and a lunch bag that was designed to hold LunchBlox.
