Like many people, I set some fitness goals for myself for the new year. It’s only been a few weeks but I’m sticking to them! 3.Get Comfortable —Maybe going to a gym is intimidating to you. That’s ok. Start out walking on a treadmill at home if that makes you more comfortable. Don’t forget to increase your goals and branch out as you gain confidence though! Get outside when you can — the fresh air and natural beauty is good for your mind, body and soul! Wear something comfortable that makes you feel good.
4.Stay positive — if you miss a day, don’t beat yourself up about it and whatever you do, don’t give up! Exercise is a healthy habit, one that can be formed with consistency. You’ll notice that the longer you stick with it, the better you feel. Don’t let minor setbacks stop you from achieving your overall goals. Use post-it notes with positive messages as reminders to motivate you. Stick them on your bathroom mirror, in your car, on your refrigerator and at your desk at work.
