Lookie What I Got For My Birthday!

After what felt like an eternity, I was induced at 41 weeks but gave birth quickly to a beautiful and healthy baby girl that we named Parker Kennedy.  At 8 lbs 1 oz and 19.5 inches, she was the biggest of my three children and our only “surprise” baby.  Despite the fact that the majority of everyone we asked thought we were having a girl, including our delivery nurse, we thought for sure we were having a boy and it was so cool having that moment of surprise.  Our first two have red hair so her brown hair was also a surprise to us!

“Settling in” with 3 is going to be a challenge, but well worth it!  Happy 32nd birthday to me!  Since my daughter’s birthday is two days before mine this means I get to stay 32 forever and give birthday celebration rights solely to her, right?

(P.S.  How is it that you give birth to an 8 pound baby and come home only weighing 5 pounds less?!)
