While I was catching up on some photo projects today I thought I came up with an original idea. Turns out someone beat me to it. I finally printed some photos to go into the photo coasters I got for Christmas the year before last (yes, I am that behind!). My son who is a year and a half found them and started playing with them. He loved the pictures of his sister and himself and liked stacking them one on top of the other. My brilliant idea was to make blocks for kids that you can put your own photos in. Then I found these Photo Stacking Blocks
on Amazon. My son would love these and they would make a really neat gift for a family member with small children, especially if they don’t live nearby. The little one could learn who Aunt Betty and Uncle Joe are while practicing their motor skills!
Yeah — my in-laws had to put away their photo coasters because the little ones kept playing with them, and the corners were sharp. They kept pulling out the photos, too.
Don’t feel bad I got the photo coasters for a wedding shower gift and that was 3.5 years ago!
