When you think of granola, you think of it as a health food right? Well not all granola is as healthy as it could be. Galaxy Granola is made with fruit (applesauce) vs. fat (oil) and all natural ingredients. It contains 70% less fat than other leading granola. It’s just as delicious too! It comes in Cranberry Orange, Not Sweet Vanilla, Raspberry, Vanilla Almond, Hint of Honey and Maple Pecan Quinoa. Our favorite is the raspberry. My kids and I like to top our yogurt with it. My son calls it “crunchies” and would rather have them in places of the rainbow sprinkles yogurt topping I sometimes treat him with. The raspberries are freeze dried so they have a different “airy” type texture but are full of flavor!
Galaxy Granola would be great for baking too. I’ve yet to try it this way but want to! You can find recipes and inspiration in their blog www.fruitnotfat.com. You can also follow Galaxy Granola on Twitter @FruitNotFat and like them on Facebook.
Galaxy Granola retails for $5.49 per zip locked pouch and is available nationwide at Whole Foods and other health food stores and online at: http://www.galaxygranola.com/buy_now.html. It is also available at Safeway stores nationwide.
