As an alternative to frozen Bagel Bites, I’ve been making my own healthier version for my toddler.
Ingredients:
One bag whole wheat bagels
Turkey pepperoni
One Jar of pasta sauce
Shredded cheese
Directions:
Split bagels open. Spoon sauce onto each side. Top with cheese and three pepperoni slices.
I line all of mine up on a metal jelly roll pan and freeze them for a couple of hours. Then I package them in foil in packs of 4 and stick them in a freezer bag for quick and easy lunches.
Do you have a healthy toddler recipe? I’d love some new ideas! Please share one of your favorite recipes on your blog then come back here and leave your name and a link below. I know I could use some new recipes so this should be a nice way for all of us bloggers to share what works for our families!
I was just thinking this morning of making something similar to this with english muffins. The bagels sound really good.
