Have you enrolled your children in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library? You can register online if it is available in your area. It is a wonderful program. A book is sent to your child each month completely free of charge until they are five years old!
I love this program and we have received some really great books. We did receive one however that I’m not fond of. It’s called Mine-o-Saur. Thus far we have avoided the terrible word “mine” with my almost-two-year-old son by instead using phrases such as “that’s mommy’s book” or “yes, that’s Jackson’s book”. I know the word “mine” cannot be avoided forever but I am being pro-active to put it off as long as possible!
While the book Mine-o-Saur has a good message, it would teach my son that dreaded word. So for now, we just let him enjoy the illustrations!
Hi Girls,
I have something special for you. Please visit my blog to get it.
Thanks,

i agree! mine-o-saur had a very negative impact on my 2 yo. we thought it would help her get that if you’re mean and stingey that you would lose friends, but she loves it when he yells “mine!”
ugh, you can’t win for losing.
I have lost the “mine” battle. I blame those darn seagulls on “Finding Nemo” for introducing the word to my son. I wish I could erase that word from his vocabulary. Along with “no”
🙂
Darn, there are no sponsors in my area.
