Lie Down in Green Pastures is based around Jeremiah Silverman who is a Rabbi and Cindy Preston, a church Secretary. The two characters are caught in the middle of a series of killings taken place around St. Patrick’s Day. Jeremiah is stuck in the middle of this chess game between the camp’s boardmembers and a successful land developer, Max Diamond. His every move is calculated and carried out with much thought. Cindy, on the other hand, reacts on emotions and is constantly finding herself in the wrong place at the right time.
As this story takes its twist and turns, it leaves the reader guessing what is coming around the corner all the way to the last sentence. Lie Down in Green Pastures does a great job setting up the storyline and keeping the reader’s interest. The book is easy to read until about the last quarter. The scenes start jumping around and starts to lose the reader’s interest. This makes the reader have to stay on top of what is being read.
This is the third in Viguie’s Psalm 23 series and really helps readers do soul searching and answer some possible questions in their own lives.
