Have you ever wanted to know what kind of pasta dish you were? Ok, probably not, but pasta dishes from Carrabba’s can explain what type of personality you have. For example, my personality states, “You’re truly one of a kind, like Carrabba’s Penne Franco. You like to keep things fresh and exciting. So next time you want to try something new, choose our unique Penne Franco: penne with mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and ricotta salata.” How did I know this? I took the Facebook Carrabba’s Pasta Personality quiz. I always try to spice up my life in different ways and it shows by how I took this quiz. Did you know that one way to test when pasta is ready is to throw a noodle against the wall? If the noodle sticks, the noodles are done being boiled? I also learned in the past few years from family that if you add a little bit of oil to the water, your noodles won’t stick. You can also put your noodles in the water before it boils if you add the oil. One of my favorite pasta recipes is so easy to make and I have altered it through the years, but I call it Pasta Bake. One of my friends from college taught me how to make it. It is so easy and fool proof that you can’t go wrong. Add your own spices and twists to it as well! Here’s how I make it:
Pasta Bake
Ingredients:
1 box of Penne Pasta
1 jar of favorite Spaghetti Sauce
Water
8 oz. bag of Mozzarella Cheese
Directions
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Place uncooked pasta in a 9×13 baking dish. Add spaghetti sauce. Fill empty jar of spaghetti sauce with water and add to the dish. Mix it all together. Cover with foil and bake for about 40 minutes (give or take). Cover with cheese and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Yum!
Thinking about all of the wonderful food Carrabba’s has to offer makes me so hungry! I know my husband would be salivating at all of their limited time offers and pasta meals since he is a pasta fanatic. If we eat Carrabbas and I’m not in the mood for pasta, I even choose from their Antipasta portions. Calamari is one of my favorites! I also never turn down a great shrimp scampi!
