My husband and I recently downsized from a king sized bed to a queen sized bed. We made the decision based on a number of things, one being that we needed the space in our bedroom for our (at the time) soon-to-be newborn. We were also converting our guest room into a theater room and either needed to get rid of our almost new queen sized bed or find a place to put it. Since we needed more space in our bedroom and the king bed was much older the solution was obvious.
While I sometimes miss the big bed, I’ve accepted the smaller one. Now we just need to get a headboard to “make it official”. Did you know that there are upholstered headboards for queen beds? I know our bedroom will look more complete with a headboard for our bed. Now it’s just a matter of making a decision! An upholstered headboard or a bookshelf headboard. Which one would you prefer? Personally, I’m leaning towards the upholstered style because if I have space for stuff, it’ll probably just get filled with clutter. Plus, the upholstered one looks comfy!
I like both of them, they are pretty. I like the brown too, we seem to have a lot of brown in our house. I think I would go with the fabric one also, for the clutterness, this looks straighter. But they’re both good, are you getting a foot board or a bench? I wish I had one!
Hmm…I hadn’t thought of a footboard but I like the bench idea! I don’t think I’ve ever had a “real” bed before!
