Ahhh….summer has arrived, and with it, summer entertaining. Picnics, 4th of July, block parties, barbecues and more. I don’t know about you, but I like quick & easy recipes that taste delicious. I’m just not that into making fancy dishes at this point in my life. The following recipe from Snackpicks.com is right up my alley:
Italian Veggie Dip
Prep Time: 5 mins Total Time: 1 hour 5 mins Level: Easy
The following veggie dip is beyond easy. You’ll probably have the ingredients on-hand and it takes about two seconds to prepare.
Ingredients:
- 1 container (16 oz.) sour cream or reduced-fat sour cream
- 1 package (0.7 oz.) dry Italian salad dressing mix
- Keebler® Town House Flipsides® Original Crackers
Carrot sticks, celery sticks or broccoli flowerets (optional)
Directions
- In small bowl whisk together sour cream and salad dressing mix. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
- Serve with Town House® Flipsides® Original Crackers and carrot sticks
Yield: 2 cups, 16 servings (1 serving=2 tablespoons dip plus 4 crackers)
Town House Crackers make entertaining easy. They are delicious and versatile, in a 3 different varieties: Original, Toppers Original and Italian Herb Flatbread Crisps. My personal favorite are the Toppers Original. They taste just like the original buttery cracker but feature a ridge around the edge making them perfect for toppings. Anything with cream cheese is good in my book. I like to top them with cream cheese and a little bit of pepper jelly from my local farmer’s market. Yum!
