My daughter, McKinley, has incredibly sensitive skin. She has a reaction to every sunscreen I’ve tried. The doctor’s advice? Keep her out of the sun. Suuuuure. She’s an active 2.5 year old! I can’t keep her locked up inside! Luckily the irritation from the sunscreen is fairly minor and doesn’t seem to bother her too much. Keeping her mostly covered is an option but did you know that a cotton shirt only provides the equivalent of UPF 5? That means that even skin that isn’t directly exposed to the sun should still be protected. The good news is that Seasons UV provides a line of swim apparel with sun protection built right in. The fabric provides UPF 50+ so you won’t have to worry about applying sunscreen to areas covered by the fabric. Available in many different styles and sizes, there’s something suitable for all ages. The latest addition to UV Seasons is the LOL line which features fabric that changes color to alert parents when it’s time to re-apply sunscreen to exposed skin. Most children receive 50-80% of their lifetime sun exposure before the age of 18. It’s important that we not only keep them protected, but educate them how to protect themselves as well. LOL will help remind children to be aware of sun safety.
My oldest two know that they don’t go out to play without getting sunscreen on first. I don’t remember having any clue about the dangers of the sun when I was their age. The world has changed a lot since then and luckily there a lot of products on the market that make it easier on us as parents. One of my favorites is Seasons UV. They’ve got some cute gear to stylishly provide sun protection. That’s my daughter wearing her little sun outfit in the picture above. It’s got a cute design on the front that I failed to capture but as you can see, there wasn’t a lot of area I had to cover with sunscreen to help minimize the irritation. Since it doesn’t seem to affect her face, she only gets a bit of a rash on her lower arms and legs which is a big improvement from what we were dealing with previously. Here’s a better picture of the outfit:
Seasons UV apparel starts at around $22. There are a lot of really cute options. Check them out at www.seasons-uv.com.
A complimentary product/service was provided for this review, however, all opinions expressed are my own. I was not compensated in any other way. See Mommies With Cents disclosure policy for more details.

This makes no sense. I just got an email today that says this giveaway ends today. When I open it it says it was posted in aug. 10th and then towards the bottom of the explanation it says it ends Aug 1st. Then to fill out form and it has a spot for extra entries but I don’t see any. This is the most confusing giveaway I’ve seen so far.
Hi Jennifer,
My apologies for the confusion! The date was a typo. It should have said August 16th. Extra entries are optional and the different options are explained in the directions. Please let me know if you have any further questions!
