Greatcleaners.com offered some cleaning products for Mindy and I to test out. I received Oxyclean Free. Oxyclean Free is a laundry additive that helps remove stains. It is free of dyes, perfumes and colorants. It doesn’t contain harsh detergents or chlorine bleach. At first I thought it was a laundry detergent and when I found out it was an additive, I didn’t think I’d like the extra step. But I gave it a shot and found that adding a scoop to a load of laundry is totally worth the few seconds that extra step takes. I’m notorious for forgetting to treat stains and with two little ones, that often means that cloths are ruined because of my neglect.

The very first load I washed with Oxyclean Free contained one of these ruined articles of clothing. I’m not sure what my son got all over the collar but it looked dirty. Chocolate milk maybe? I noticed when I was folding the laundry that the shirt was remarkably whiter than it had been previously. The stain wasn’t removed but it was an old one so I was surprised that Oxyclean Free made that much of a difference. The container states that you can create a paste stain treatment or use it to pre-soak clothing. I’ll admit, I am lazy at laundry and not likely to do this but love that adding a scoop of Oxyclean Free will help remove light stains or ones that I have forgotten to treat.
