SouthPeak Games recently sent me a copy of My Baby First Steps for Nintendo DS for my review. Yes, I admit, my kids aren’t even old enough to play video games. I have a DS all my own and I love it. I can’t wait until my son is old enough to play it with me though!
In My Baby First Steps you take care of a baby from it’s first birthday until it’s 30 months old. In the beginning you chose whether you’d like a boy or a girl, name your baby and customize it’s looks or you can chose for it to be a surprise! From there, you care for your baby by feeding it, changing it, dressing it, playing with it, loving it and bathing it. Everything a real baby needs, your virtual baby needs too. Throughout the game you can take pictures of your baby to document it’s progress. This game is great because it’s so interactive. It makes great use of the stylus and the microphone too. Blow into the microphone to cool off baby’s food when it’s too hot or tickle your baby with the stylus to make them giggle. Players will love going to the store to buy new outfits, accessories, toys and more for their little bundle of joy. Your baby will learn to stand up, take it’s first steps, learn new words and more with your love and attention.
My Baby First Steps retails for $29.99. For more information visit www.mybabyvillage.com. Be sure to check out the interactive mini games while you are there!
