The holidays are fast approaching. How many of you are dreading all the battery gobbling toys? How about toys that require tools to put together? You won’t need tools or batteries with a Darda Cars Play Set. And the beauty of it is, your kids will never notice the difference! Darda Cars have motors that are powered by rolling the car in a back and forth motion while gently pressing down. A clicking sound lets you know that the motor is winding. When the clicks get louder, you know the engine is charged. Let go of the car and watch it speed away!
The Victory Lane Nascar Playset contains a 60+ piece track but no tools are required to put it together. My husband who has an almost unnatural hatred towards building stuff put the track together all by himself while I was at work. Instructions are included for three different track designs or you can get creative and design your own. This play set features two NASCAR heroes, Jeff Gordon® and Jimmie Johnson®, in their trademark DuPont and Lowe’s branded car
The NASCAR Victory Lane set which features Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson in their trademark DuPont and Lowe’s branded cars, is really cool because you can race your friends. Just wind your cars, set one on each track then press the green “go” button. The cars will race through loop dee loops and around corners before coming down the straight of way and crossing the finish line. The cars are so fast it’s sometimes hard to see who the winner is if they are neck in neck. Luckily a checkered flag is triggered by the winner’s car as it crosses the finish line, determining the winner.
This play set is designed for ages 4 and up but we knew our 2 year old son would love it. We have to closely supervise him and help him wind the cars but he does indeed love it! We had some problems with one side of the track. One of the loops didn’t allow enough clearance for the car to pass through and it would crash off of the track every time. I’m sure with enough fiddling it can be remedied. All in all this is an awesome toy that we enjoy playing with as a family. (Edit: The nice people at Darda contacted me about the problem I was having with the track. They were happy to help walk me through adjusting it properly on the phone but the help wasn’t needed. We sent the track over to Grandpa’s house and when he set it up it worked just fine!)
While I had never heard of Darda cars before being offered this set for review, apparently there is a big craze which you can witness on YouTube. Check out or search for Darda to see some amazing tracks that Darda fans have created.
Darda cars have been around for more than three decades and originated in Germany. There’s a wide selection of Darda cars available online at www.dardatoys.com.
