Do you always use traditional Easter baskets for Easter gifts? Sometimes I like to use a basket or bin that can be re-used year round. I don’t know if I’m just an odd duck or if other people do this too, but my kid’s Easter Baskets always include a new outfit or new pj’s for spring. I guess that’s my practical side showing through. I love the safari animal applique pajamas from Pottery Barn kids. The blue and brown stripes are adorable along with the Lion sauntering across the front. It’s still cold this time of year in the Seattle area so these long sleeved cotton pajamas are a nice transition from fleece.

I’d rather spend a little more on some cute yet practical items for Easter than buy some cheap toys that’ll break by the end of the week. We usually add a movie for each of the kids as well as some snacks (goldfish crackers, trail mix, teddy grahams and fruit snacks) and one inexpensive toy that they are into that we know will get played with.
