I know I’ve mentioned several times how much I love my iPad. My kids love it even more. There’s a never ending supply of games and activities for all of my children. I recently downloaded the app for my youngest who will be 2 in a couple of months. Developed by , this universal app which functions equally well on both the iPad and iPhone, is a fun and quiet activity for kids of all ages but it’s especially fun for the little ones. It features beautifully illustrated pictures of animals that are initially covered up. By sweeping their finger over the screen the image is revealed by magical plants, leaves, stars and more. In the rhino picture above for example, pretty flowers and vines appear and then sway to reveal the image. Once the picture is revealed the name of the animal is spoken in both English and Spanish before moving onto the next picture. The app plays pleasant music and nature sounds making it a great calming activity that helps kids wind down. My personal favorite image is below:
One Monk Clapping has also developed similar apps such as Natural Tots, Natural Tots Birds, Natural Tots Flowers, Natural Tots Scenery. You can find these apps including . Merry Cherub sells for $1.99.
