Sittercity, anyone?

Sittercity.com is offering 10% off of their services through August 31. I don’t have any experience with this service, nor do I know anyone who has used it. It sounds interesting to me. Have any of you ever used this service or something similiar? What did you think? Did you feel safe with the provider? Was it worth the money?

What I do have experience with is nanny agencies. Until recently I was a part time nanny and part of a temporary on-call nanny service. Before THAT I was a full time nanny for nearly 9 years. I wonder how a “sitter” service compares with a nanny service. I’d love to hear your own experiences with either. Please leave a comment!
